Business Mission to the Climate Biennial – Art, Industry and Territory

AEP – Portuguese Business Association and FICYT - Fundación para el Fomento en Asturias de la Investigación Científica y la Tecnología are organising a business mission to Avilés, Asturias, Spain, on 16 and 17 September. The initiative is being held within the framework of the first edition of the Climate Biennial – Art, Industry and Territory, a new forum dedicated to the intersection of culture, sustainability, innovation and territorial development. Aimed at companies, cultural organisations, municipalities, universities and technology organisations, the mission seeks to foster new partnerships and support the development of cooperation projects between Portuguese and Spanish organisations. Over the course of two days, participants will have the opportunity to discover leading initiatives, organisations and venues, while identifying international collaboration opportunities within the cultural and creative industries. Participation in the Climate Biennial will enable Portuguese organisations to engage with a programme focused on the contemporary challenges facing the cultural and creative sector. Environmental sustainability, the energy transition, technological innovation, urban regeneration and place-based development will be among the topics explored during an event that aims to bring together cultural stakeholders, businesses, public institutions, academia and local communities. The mission programme combines participation in conferences, technical visits, institutional meetings and networking sessions organised by the Portuguese Culture and Creative Industries Cluster and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) - AEP - Associação Empresarial de Portugal and FICYT - Fundación para el Fomento en Asturias de la Investigación Científica y la Tecnología - the world's largest support network for internationalisation and business cooperation. The objective is to identify opportunities for international collaboration and strengthen the expansion of Portuguese organisations into new markets, enabling businesses and organisations across the ecosystem to scale up, diversify their partnerships and enhance their competitiveness.
